ok im having the same issue with mine i did the exact same thing as you but i noticed something odd

the drive letter was changed to (E) and it only recognizes that the virtual disk has 30 gb when its in the 2nd virtual machine when i click edit settings when its powered off it says space used 11.99 Max Space 30gb that last part might just be because its set to expand when space is used either way the main issue here is that your drive letter for the first vmware is assinged to something other than (C) is what im thinking

i have no idea how to fix this and i would like some help from someone on how to change it back to (C) from outside the VMware as it wont let me when im in the VMware

this change happens everytime you open your vmware drive in another vmware that already has a drive assigned to (C)

it not corrupted it just doesnt see the drive anymore cause the drive letter was changed

although all that stuff you tried probably did corrupt the VMware drive

VMware snapshot.jpg

take a look at the drive letter for my original on a second VMware its labeled as (E)

it changed when you loaded it in the second VMware you have to change it back to get it to work again by itself

find a way to change the drive letter outside of VMware and it should work again

im currently searching for a way to do so myself
